The Thames Valley Chorus

Reading Barbershop Harmony Club

Daytimers Singing Group

The Daytimers is, as the name suggests, a select group of singers from the Thames Valley Chorus who visit smaller venues during the day. Care Home entertainment, birthday celebrations, wedding receptions, anniversary festivities, award ceremonies - all such events will benefit from the fabulous close harmony singing of this outstanding group of men. The repertoire includes well known ballads and up-tempo songs both old and new.

Songs are chosen from our standard repertoire according to the audience to whom we will be singing and many old favourites can be sung which will be familiar to members of retirement clubs, day centres, hobby groups etc. Please visit our Singing Events page to see details of some of the venues we visit.

If you would like to hear what a close-harmony a cappella male group sounds like, please visit the Hear Us & Book Us page of this web site. There you will hear the whole of the Thames Valley Chorus in full voice and, while the Daytimers are fewer in number, the songs they sing and the harmonies they create are very similar. The leadership of the Daytimers is in the hands of some of the most experienced members of our team. The Musical Director of the Daytimers is Alex Russell, who has been in barbershop singing for over twenty years, and a member of our chorus for most of those years.

Graham Starkie, pictured right, is the man who will organise your event booking - arranging the date and the fee which is fixed according to the size of your venue, the number of singers who will attend, and the length of the programme you require. He is a knowledgeable and very approachable man and you couldn't be in better hands when you contact him to book the Daytimers for your event. Call him now on 0118 934 5214 or go to the TV Chorus Contacts page from where you can e-mail him.
